Modern Square Dance Club of Laporte, IN
The Star Righters Square Dance Club has been a fixture of the Northwest Indiana square dance community since October 1959, carving out a reputation for keeping the local activity alive, social, and deeply collaborative. Originally formed in Michigan City, the Star Righters have been dancing in Laporte for many years and are excited to spread the joys of square dancing for years to come!

The Star Righters will be holding a Square Dance Open House followed by a 12-week beginner square dance class starting August 16th, 2026. See below for more info.

The Star Righters dance 7:00-9:30PM (Central Time) on SELECTED 2nd or 4th Fridays all year long. (see below for specific dates)
PLEASE NOTE! If you have not completed a Intro Square Dance Class, you can still attend any Square Dance! However, you will not be able to participate in the dancing until you have completed a Class.

The Church has a front and back entrance both of which have stairs to enter. The picture below or on right shows the front entrance. The back entrance has a parking lot. Both entrances lead straight into the hall where we will be dancing.
